Our History

Family-owned with a history of quality since 1979.

Hursh Painting Co. got its start when founder Morris Hursh took a leap of faith and decided to start his own painting business in 1979. He founded the business on the core values of honesty, integrity, and a commitment to quality. He had a heart for helping people which was reflected in the way he treated his employees, customers and the community at large. Phil Hursh, son of Morris and Ruth Ann, assumed the role of president in 1999 and has played a crucial role in the business for more than thirty years. Growing from three employees when the company was founded to over thirty five today, Hursh Painting has built a reputation of trust, quality, and a commitment to safety.

As a family business in its second generation, we take great pride in upholding Morris’ legacy. Phil, our current president, carries on his father’s founding principles as he guides the company. He stresses the importance of “doing what we say and saying what we do,” ensuring that our reputation for integrity and excellence remains intact. With over 45 years in business, we value the enduring relationships we have built within our community, maintaining strong ties with customers and vendors from our early days. We are proud that more than 40% of our team members have been part of our journey for more than a decade. Because of this, our customers know our employees and our employees know our customers. These long standing relationships have played a crucial role in our success.

“Hursh Painting Company has been successful because we do the job right. We do what we say we’re going to do. We’re honest, we give a fair price and we don’t cut corners.”
– Morris Hursh, Founder
