Restoring heavily rusted tank surfaces requires more than simply applying a new coat of paint. Hursh Painting brought extensive surface preparation and specialized coating expertise to this project to provide long-term protection and durability. Our team began with 5,000-psi hot water pressure washing, followed by detailed hand and power tool cleaning of heavily corroded areas. Because abrasive blasting was not permitted due to site safety requirements, careful preparation was especially important. Once the surfaces were properly prepared, our team applied a multi-coat system consisting of stripe coating and spot priming, a high-solids epoxy mastic primer, and an aliphatic acrylic polyurethane topcoat. The result is a durable, protective finish designed to withstand the demands of the environment and extend the life of the tank surfaces.
