Hursh Painting Co. Inc. was founded in April of
1979, by Morris and Ruth Ann Hursh, at their
home in Farmersville, PA. Prior to starting the
business, Morris had been employed by a large
Lancaster County based painting contractor. During
nineteen of his twenty-one years with the company,
Morris worked as a foreman managing some of
the largest commercial painting projects in
southeastern Pennsylvania. Putting these years of
experience to use in his own business, the company
prospered, growing from three employees at
inception to well over twenty by the time the
company was incorporated in 1984.

In 1988, Morris and Ruth Ann’s son Philip, started
working for the company during his summer vacations from high school. Upon his graduation
from high school in 1992, Philip has worked full-time
for the company. In 1999, our business succession
plan was enacted, enabling Philip to begin purchasing
the company from Morris. At this time, Philip
became President, assuming overall management
responsibilities, while Morris took the position of
Chairman of the Board.
Succession was completed December 2007. Philip, with support from Morris operates the business, along with a staff of approximately 35 employees. The company has won numerous safety
and quality awards from the Associated Builders and Contractors and the Painting and Decorating
Contractors of America. Additionally, the company
has received the prestigious recognition of being an “Accredited Quality Contractor” from the Associated
Builders and Contractors. This program publicly
recognizes and honors contracting firms that have
documented their dedication to maintain and
improve the safety, welfare and education of its
employees and to improving the communities in
which we work and live.
Today our business continues to grow, because
of excellent employees and their dedication to
customer satisfaction. |
